Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-21
Operator: Barnisan, LLC ("Foundryink", "we", "us"). Barnisan, LLC operates both FoundryInk.com and Strips.Ink, and these Terms are an agreement between you and Barnisan, LLC. Below, "Foundryink" is shorthand for everything Barnisan, LLC operates, not for the FoundryInk.com website alone.
"Service" means the Foundryink platform and everything we make available through it, including our websites and applications - among them FoundryInk.com and Strips.Ink - our interfaces, our programming interfaces, and every feature, tool, and capability we offer for storing, hosting, creating, publishing, discovering, reading, messaging, printing, fulfilling, and paying for work, together with any software we supply and any update, replacement, or addition to any of the foregoing. FoundryInk.com and Strips.Ink are two front doors to a single Service, and every term below applies to both of them equally. A reference to the Service includes each of its parts and any part of it you actually use.
"Content" means anything you upload, create, submit, store, publish, display, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Service, in any form and whether or not you publish it, including files and the data embedded in them, artwork, pages, strips, text, manuscripts, audio, video, covers, titles, descriptions, metadata, messages, comments, reviews, and profile information. As between you and us, Content is yours, on the terms set out in Section 3.
By creating an account you agree to these Terms. You get one account for the whole Service: the account you create on FoundryInk.com is the same account you sign in with on Strips.Ink, and these Terms govern it on both. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must provide an accurate date of birth at registration. We use it to set your age group, which filters the content you can discover and view on either property. Some content is restricted to adults (18+). If you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with verifiable parental consent, and some features may be unavailable.
2. Your account & roles
You sign in through a trusted identity provider (Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc.) and are responsible for activity on your account. The same account and the same sign-in work on every part of the Service. An account may take on multiple, non-exclusive roles - reader, critic, artist, writer, and publisher/studio. Enabling a creator role means the creator content and conduct rules apply to you.
3. Content you publish
You must own or have the rights to all Content you upload or publish. We may inspect uploaded files (including metadata) and reject or flag Content that appears to belong to another rights holder. You grant us the licenses needed to host, display, print, fulfill, and promote your work anywhere in the Service, including on either property, and you are responsible for correctly rating its age suitability.
4. Community conduct
Be civil. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and spam are prohibited. Comments are moderated, vulgar content may be blocked, and abusive content may be reported, removed, or lead to account action. You can report studios, projects, assets, strips, comments, and messages that violate these Terms or the law; reports are reviewed by our moderation team (see Section 7). We compute reputation signals to identify abuse; we do not run a public karma system.
5. Purchases, subscriptions & fulfillment
Some content is free; other content is paid (one-off per delivery format - read online, download, or shipped) or subscriber-only. Prices, formats, and platform fees are shown before purchase. Physical orders are produced and delivered by third-party print partners. Payment processing is being integrated and this section will be finalized then.
6. Refunds & disputes
If you do not receive a purchased item, or a creator materially fails to deliver, first contact the creator or studio you bought from to request a refund or credit, as they fulfill the order. If you cannot resolve it with them, you can escalate the dispute to us. We operate a graduated dispute process and may decline repeated or abusive disputes.
7. Trust & safety, moderation & enforcement
Content you report, or that is otherwise brought to our attention, may be reviewed by our staff and by authorized content-safety reviewers acting under confidentiality on our behalf. We may hide or remove content and suspend, shadow-ban, or terminate accounts - including studios, their projects, and their issues - for violations of these Terms. An enforcement action against an account applies across the whole Service, not only on the property where the violation happened. Illegal content is treated with the highest priority: for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) we may immediately lock the responsible account, remove the content, preserve relevant records, and report to law enforcement and the appropriate authorities (for example, NCMEC). We rely primarily on user reports and human review rather than automated scanning of your content, and reserve the right to use additional safety signals where appropriate.
8. Account access by our team (support & safety)
To provide support, protect users, keep the platform secure and operational, and meet legal obligations, authorized platform administrators may access your account - including viewing it as you see it (read-only) and, where needed to resolve an issue on your behalf, acting within it ("impersonation"). Such access is restricted to authorized personnel, limited to the purpose, time-limited, and logged for audit.
9. Security, disclaimers, and limitation of liability
9.1 Security measures. We implement and maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of your account, the Content you upload, and the personal information we process, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and audit logging of administrator access as described in Section 8. These safeguards are consistent with generally accepted industry standards for services of a similar nature.
9.2 No guarantee of security. You acknowledge that no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, and that we do not and cannot warrant, guarantee, or represent that your account, Content, or data will be free from unauthorized access, interception, disclosure, alteration, corruption, or loss. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
9.3 Your responsibilities. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your sign-in credentials and of the devices through which you access the Service, for all activity conducted through your account, and for ensuring that you hold all rights necessary in the Content you upload, as set out in Section 3.
9.4 "As is"; disclaimer of warranties. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
9.5 Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any unauthorized access to, interception of, disclosure of, alteration of, or loss or corruption of your account, Content, or data, nor for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the security of the Service or to any security incident, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory of liability, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9.6 Rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, warranty, right, or remedy that you have under applicable law and that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. Where our liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When changes are material we will bump the version and ask you to re-accept. Because one set of Terms covers the whole Service, accepting a version on either property accepts it for both.

Privacy notice
Last updated 21 August 2026
FoundryInk is operated by Barnisan, LLC ("FoundryInk", "we", "us"). FoundryInk.com and Strips.Ink are two front doors to one service run by Barnisan, LLC: one account, one set of data practices, and this one policy covers both. It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: contact@foundryink.com.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign up on either property, our managed
identity provider stores your sign-in credentials, and we store profile details you give us (name, username, email, avatar, bio).
- Content you create. Studios, projects, pages, strips, posts, messages, and
related metadata.
- Usage and site signals. Visits, page views, and email open and click
events, used to give creators their own analytics and to operate the service.
- Payments and payouts. When you buy, subscribe, pledge, tip, or get paid, our
payment provider processes the transaction and card details. We store records of the transaction, not your full card number.
- Communications. Messages you send us and your notification preferences.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the platform.
- To process payments and creator payouts.
- To send notifications and emails you have opted into.
- To give creators analytics about their own work.
- To keep the platform safe: moderation, abuse prevention, and enforcement.
- To meet legal obligations.
How it is shared
We share data with service providers who help us run FoundryInk.com and Strips.Ink, including cloud hosting, our identity provider, our payment provider, and our email provider, each only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people from harm. We do not sell your personal information.
How we protect it
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and audit logging of administrator access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; you help protect your information by keeping your sign-in credentials and devices secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features need them to work.
Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
Your choices
- Access or correct your profile information in your account settings.
- Opt out of non-essential emails from your notification preferences.
- Request deletion of your account by contacting contact@foundryink.com.
Because one account covers both properties, deleting it removes your access to both.
Children
Neither FoundryInk.com nor Strips.Ink is intended for children under the age required in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the platform changes. Material changes will be noted here with a new date.
